What is the Aerospace Program?

The Vanier Aeropace program, offered at the grade 11 and 12 level, allows students to investigate exciting careers in the airline and aerospace industries. With realistic equipment and a working shop equipped with an aircraft, a helicopter, aircraft simulators, a wind tunnel and electronic trainers, these courses have a strong “hands-on” approach. In addition, several guest speakers who are experts in this field will supplement scheduled field trips to manufacturing leaders in the aerospace industry in the GTA.

What’s special about the program

Vanier is one of twenty-two schools across Canada partnered with the Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council, allowing students to learn industry curriculum. Graduates from this program will be able to proceed directly into a college technician program, learn engineering skills for university programs, or enter the work-force with a basic set of essential skills required in the industry. Vanier Aerospace allows students to make important decisions about their future.
