On May 23, the first ever SAGE Canada Regional Championship tournament was held at Ted Rogers School of Business organized by SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) Ryerson University students. Georges Vanier Secondary School students won the championship and will go to Brasilia, Brazil for SAGE World Cup 2009 in August.

A group of Grade 12 Business Leadership students, called Temptations, organized a fundraising event: Summer Bash 2009, for the cancer research as a class project. Excellent planning and overwhelming support from staff and students at Georges Vanier brought in total revenue of $1650. Great job, Kyuhwan, Nishant, Rushi, Samer and Varun!
SAGE, (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship), is an international network that links teams of secondary school students to nearby university and college students, and business leaders and civic leaders. The primary goal of SAGE is to advance youth entrepreneurship and community service around the world, emphasizing ethical business practices, social responsibility, civic engagement and environmental awareness.
SAGE offers students not only the opportunity to make the world a better place, but also to compete on a regional, national and global level.
SAGE @ Vanier is part of SAGE Canada. With chapters across the province, SAGE Canada is changing the world through student-led initiatives. SAGE @ Vanier aims to provide students with the opportunities to gain hands-on experience by creating and implementing innovative projects that better Georges Vanier students and their community.
