Vanier’s Event Notifier Feature
Welcome to the world of instant notification
Vanier’s website has an awesome new feature, and it’s called Event Notifier. What does this mean? It means that once you sign up, you’ll receive e-mail notifications and reminders about every activity that you’re interested in at Vanier.
All you need to is sign up once, confirm your e-mail address and just check your e-mail regularly. Clubs will send e-mail notifications about meetings, contests and other reminders. Even the SAC might e-mail you about a party. Plus, you’ll only receive relevant information for the events that you check in the sign up form.
Sounds good, how do I sign up?
Signing up is simple, just click here to access the sign up form. You can also sign up on the homepage. You’ll only have to do this once, and you’re all set! Plus, it only takes a few seconds!
Then in the window that pop’s up, just fill in the information. For the ‘Enter Code‘ box you’ll have to get one from a teacher that you know. There are several different codes, for example, the Math Club has a specific code. All school events have a specific code and so on. This is just one way we keep the sensitive information safe.
Fill out the sign-up form with all the info
Once you fill everything out, just click Submit. You’ll see a “Subscription Review” window. Close it, and go to your e-mail account.
You’ll then receive a message from events@georgesvanier.com (it might be a good idea to add this address to your contacts, or else your e-mail provider might think it is spam). You’ll have to click on the confirmation link to finish signing up.
Click that link to confirm!
After you click on the link, you’ll receive a box saying sign-up was successful, and you’ll start receiving e-mails from various clubs and the Student Council.
You can now receive e-mail notifications.
